Life in 1998
In 1998 Sarah was 14 years old, she was travelling with her dad Graham as corporate guests of Leeds United.
The corporate guests and match commentators had enjoyed an afternoon of 10-pin bowling before the evening kick-off at West Ham.

The aircrew were invited to Elland Road 8 days after the crash. Sarah was the very glamorous 14 year old who presented the crew with flowers on the pitch, whilst the fantastic Leeds United supporters very movingly cheered for over 5 minutes showing their appreciation for the best save of the season (sorry Nigel Martyn and Mark Beeney)
The last 25 years
Sarah is married to Matt and they have two beautiful children.
In 2020 Sarah’s husband Matt wrote a very moving message to Captain John Hackett’s daughter, he said they had shown their young son the interview with John and explained without John they wouldn’t be sitting there now.
